During the test, a Neurophysiologist observes patients as they sleep and move between light (non-REM) and deep (REM) sleep phases. The sleep pattern data is recorded, allowing us to identify any sleep disorders that are present. These could include chronic insomnia, narcolepsy, REM sleep behaviour disorder, restless legs syndrome, sleep apnea, or sleep-related seizure disorders.
